Now here on the mountain
After eons of agony
Nary an eye hath glimpsed such a staggering sight
The rigors of life, the climb into the light
Now behold her tempting beauty, wisps of light through golden hair
Radiance glitters across sullen eyes, encroach if you dare
She beckons with greyish hands, silvery cloak of fraying strands
As you approach the sun begins to set, its bewildering as you've never seen it so red
She speaks with words not heard in an age
Comprehending as she whispers your life's page
Again those empty eyes
Hunger within resides
Compelled to answer, you assuage your lust, your wrath, your greed
Her breath so sickly sweet
Upon your fears she feeds
You should have listened
You should never have come
Clutched in her shimmering aura
Her malevolence obscured
Embracing her pure divine
Your demise assured
Venomous teeth of viper kind
Their miasma hangs in the air
The serpents tongue, her duty done
Behold her glory and despair
Fear
Like a babe to her bosom
Her claws hold you tight
Sinking beneath your skin
Through the heart as a knife
