In case you missed it, the world's twisted
And this is just a snapshot

Yo, he wakes up, the room feels smoke filled
He's hazy eyed and he's noticing a cold chill in the air
He ain't slept this good in weeks
Usually his stomach cramped up when he couldn't sleep

Lost a good few stone 'cause he couldn't eat
People say he moves like a zombie, looking weak
Scratched his head, noticed his left arm
Scratched up a bit, covered in a red, dark, sticky substance
He turned to his left

Saw a girl laying there he had just met
In a bar the night before, it was just sex
Gets a flash of them together in the shower in his head
Her skin was real pale, eyes were closed
But took him a second to realize her throat's cut
He stood up, it barely shocked him

He went to the shower to go and clean off a bit
In the bathroom, there was blood on the tiles too

He looks in the mirror, asked himself, "Did I do it?"
He thinks no, but he can't answer
'Cause he can't remember, so he goes to ask her

"Excuse me, miss, what happened?
Answer me, you goddamn bitch," he starts slapping her
Sees a flash of her laughing, him slashing her
Gets a sheet of plastic from the cupboard, starts wrapping her

He's good at this, must have done it before, he thinks
Put the body parts into parcels, caught thought, he winks
Then awoke feeling time stand still
Took a drive and dumped all the parcels in a landfill

In case you missed it, the world's twisted
And this is just a snapshot of an instant
Or a pinprick in an infinite timeline
One story of death in murderous times
In case you missed it, the world's twisted
And this is just a snapshot of an instant
Or a pinprick in an infinite timeline
One story of death in murderous times
