About Seals & Crofts
Seals and Crofts was an American soft rock duo formed in 1969 by Jim Seals and Dash Crofts, who created a distinctive sound blending folk harmonies, gentle rock rhythms, and spiritual themes rooted in their Baháʼí faith. Their breakthrough came with 1972's "Summer Breeze," a timeless classic that showcased their signature acoustic-driven style and pristine vocal harmonies, followed by hits like "Diamond Girl" and "Get Closer." Albums such as "Summer Breeze" and "Diamond Girl" helped define the mellow California sound of the 1970s, influencing countless soft rock and adult contemporary artists. Though they disbanded in 1980, their gentle, optimistic music continues to evoke the peaceful, introspective spirit of early '70s folk-rock and remains beloved by fans of melodic, harmony-rich songcraft.
