Roving in-sync, overlooking the stings
I'd recall on the prompts that were never meant for me
Stars hung on string, shining like the real thing
But I heard long ago there's no place for a forgery
Fearful of the memory I heard someone recite
Their own take on something viewed from my eyes
But there's no next time
Closing up the distance hiding where those thoughts collidе
In the dream we wеre alike
A sentence repeated back had lost all meaning
Surely a command had planned the way my heart pertained in your grief
I know it's not the same
Yet I still felt it
I stare at the smile that had no more meaning
Through the lie an underline revealed it to be something unseen
Deep down I knew it though

Scattered away, through the whisper of rain
There were words, falling down

In the dream where it was equivalent

Witnessing the distance growing further from my eyes

If there's a future where these thoughts have meaning
I'll take up a pen and write my name with those allotted to leave
