I think this song is about someone who really wants to be with sdomeone else... but can't be. So by putting their heads in the clourds, they can pretend nothing iswrong so when they look at reality, its not so bad. The "other home" is the other person but when they are not around they try to erase that from their memory- asif by magic....

Ok here is what i think this song means. I think that its about this guy that doesn't make her happy but she is either stuck with him or loves him and they probably live together so she gets high and at that moment as if by magic she forgets about him and his words and she is happy for a moment while she is high in the clouds.

For me, this song is about a person who has lived a sheltered life with the person she loves. She find herself sooo much in love and along the way, she forgot about herself... They've been together in their own little perfect world. But then, insecurity gets in the way, jealousy ,fear and all the works...She suddenly found herself alone and struggling to keep herself up. She thought that she wouldn't be able to make it, that her world and life is done without her lover. BUT then, to her surprise, she was able to make it and even succeeded without that person. She kept moving forward and kept looking up ahead. Sometimes she slips and goes back and think about the "what ifs". But she's glad she stayed in her OWN world and even forgot about him ...as if by magic...
