Kerrie Roberts – Keep Breathing Lyrics

Pop

You wait in darkness for answers that you can't see
You know what you deserve
And you're wondering why your life is
Not what you thought it should be

When the night breaks, your heart still aches
How can you face the day?

Just keep breathing, you'll make it
Don't give in, you're not done yet
Sometimes all that you can do is keep breathing and believing
Don't let go, just hang on tighter a little longer

When you feel like you're dying, keep breathing
Don't give up, don't give in, don't let go
No, you're not done
Don't give up, don't give in, don't let go

When every moment is almost more than you can take
You've got to know some tomorrow will bring you a breakthrough
It's the reason why you got to get through today
When the night's gone you will be strong

Keep breathing, you'll make it
Don't give in, you're not done yet
Sometimes all that you can do is keep breathing and believing
Don't let go, just hang on tighter a little longer

With every breath you're bringing hope
You're letting go of all your doubts
When nothing is easy, you got to keep going
Even when you don't know how
You don't have to know how, no

Keep breathing, you'll make it
Don't give in, you're not done yet
Sometimes all that you can do is keep breathing and believing
And don't let go, just hang on tighter a little longer, whoa

Keep breathing, you'll make it
Don't give in, you're not done yet
Sometimes all that you can do is keep breathing and believing
And don't let go, just hang on tighter a little longer

Keep breathing, don't give up
No, you're not done yet
Don't give up, don't give in
Don't let go, no, you are not done yet

Don't give up, don't give in
Don't let go, no, you are not done
Don't give up, don't give in
Don't let go, no, you are not done

Don't give up, don't give in
Don't let go, no, you are not done

About This Song

"Keep Breathing" is a deeply compassionate pop ballad that serves as a lifeline for those struggling through depression, despair, or life's darkest moments. The song addresses listeners who feel trapped in darkness, questioning why their lives haven't turned out as expected, and offers the simple but profound message that sometimes survival itself-just continuing to breathe-is enough. Roberts delivers the encouraging lyrics with gentle vulnerability over a melodic pop arrangement that builds from intimate verses to an uplifting, anthemic chorus. The track stands out for its honest acknowledgment of pain while providing hope without minimizing struggle, making it a powerful anthem for mental health awareness and emotional resilience. Its central message that "sometimes all that you can do is keep breathing and believing" has resonated with countless listeners facing their own battles with hopelessness.

I heard Kerrie's song keep breathing in the movie theatre while waiting for the movie. This was on a Friday. I had made plans to end my life on Sunday,February 6th. That the Lord that it was dark in the theatre because I heard the chorus and started to really listen to the song. Whoever wrote this song"Knows" I started to cry quietly. Your song is quite literally the reason why I am still on this earth. I have made a copy of the lyrics. One for my wallet, and one on the wall leading to my front door, so I can see it everyday when I leave home. I believe that it was not an accident that I heard this song when I did. I've never heard it before. Thank you so much for allowing GOD to work through your heart.Thank you so much and GOD Bless you always!!!

it makes me strong that there is still hope and as long as I'm breathing I can make it.
  • This is the best song ever. My boyfriend broke up with me last night, and it broke my heart even though we are still gonna be great friends. But when he told me that he just wanted to sort out his life and that he thinks we were too serious, it felt like my world was ending. We still love eachother but its not the same. But when i listen to this song it reminds me that ill be okay, and to just keep breathing and living my life that god planned.
