About Kenny Wayne Shepherd
Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band is an American blues rock group led by Louisiana guitarist Kenny Wayne Shepherd, who began his professional career as a teenager in the 1990s and became a torchbearer for modern blues rock. Their sound blends traditional blues with hard rock energy, showcased on breakthrough hits like "Blue On Black" and "Deja Voodoo" from albums such as "Trouble Is..." (1997) and "Live On" (1999). Shepherd's fiery guitar work and the band's ability to bridge classic blues traditions with contemporary rock sensibilities helped revitalize blues for a new generation during the late '90s blues revival. With over two decades of touring and recording, including collaborations with blues legends, the Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band has maintained blues rock's relevance while honoring its roots.
