Fairweather Friend, uh, interesting song. That's a song, well, the
Only song I did with David Bendeth. And, it was pretty crazy, I was
Really fried. I'd been working for like a month straight, every day
And I was just totally burned out. And then, uh, some of the guys
From the label came out, and I remember telling, uh, my A&R, I was
Just like, "I am so fried, like, I need a change of scenery." Uh
And we'd been talking about David Bendeth a little bit, about that
Possibility. And he was down, I literally flew out the next morning
To New Jersey. And, um, we started working, and it just clicked
And, it's weird for me to work with other people on Beartooth songs
They're very personal, especially people I don't know very well
So, it was just kind of a shot in the dark, and it really worked
Out, and we had a super good time. And then, he ended up mixing
The whole record, and that was, like, a huge thing. But, the song
Is about, I mean, it's pretty self-explanatory. It's about
Fairweather friends, and, I mean, I know that's the song title
But that's for good reason. You know, there's people that, they're
There when things are going well, and then if stuff, you know
Shit hits the fan or if stuff's going south, then they just bail
And, I mean, it's just about stupid people like that. And, um
I mean, you just, nobody needs those
People in their lives, and, uh, yeah
