"Here Comes Trouble" finds Bad Company attempting to recapture their classic rock swagger in the early '90s, but the result feels caught between eras-too polished for their gritty origins yet not quite embracing the contemporary rock trends of the time. The album opens with the driving "Both Feet In The Water" and maintains a workmanlike approach to blues-based hard rock, with Paul Rodgers' still-powerful vocals anchoring songs that lean heavily on familiar chord progressions and arena-ready choruses. While tracks like the romantic "Little Angel" showcase the band's softer side with its yearning lyrics about waiting for love, much of the album suffers from overly clean production that strips away the raw energy that made their '70s work so compelling. It's a competent but ultimately forgettable entry in the Bad Company catalog, sounding more like a tribute band going through the motions than the pioneering rock outfit that once ruled the airwaves.
